Khao Lak: Three Temples Day Tour – Dragon Cave, Bang Riang & Bang Thong
A full day from Khao Lak to three very different temples: a cave shrine hung with stalactites, a hilltop chedi above rice fields and a gleaming golden pagoda. Lunch, temple fees and pickup included.
Southern Thailand's temples are not all alike, and this day trip shows you why. With a local guide and hotel pickup from Khao Lak, you visit three sites that each tell a different part of the region's Buddhist story.
The day starts at Dragon Cave Temple, where a staircase of more than 200 steps, guarded by serpent balustrades, climbs to shrines set inside a limestone cave among stalactites and stalagmites. Next is Wat Bang Riang, spread across a hillside, where a tall chedi and statues of revered monks look out over rubber plantations and rice fields.
After a Thai set lunch at a local restaurant, the tour crosses into Krabi province for Wat Bang Thong, whose golden pagoda rises above the surrounding countryside. Your guide explains what you are seeing at each stop, from temple architecture to everyday religious practice, and how to behave respectfully inside.
Drinking water, lunch and all temple entrance fees are included, and you are returned to your hotel at the end of the day.
