Khao Lak: Khao Sok Jungle Walk & Sok River Canoe Day Trip with Lunch
A full day in Khao Sok National Park from Khao Lak: a guided rainforest walk to Bang Hua Rat waterfall, a Thai lunch, then a paddled canoe trip down the Sok River beneath limestone cliffs.
Khao Sok is one of southern Thailand's largest protected rainforests, and this day trip from Khao Lak lets you see it on foot and from the water.
After hotel pickup and a drive of about an hour, your guide leads a walk of roughly three hours on the park's forest trails to Bang Hua Rat waterfall, pointing out plants, insects and, with luck, birds and monkeys. Trails can be muddy after rain, so sturdy shoes matter.
Lunch is a Thai set meal near the park. In the afternoon you settle into a canoe on the Sok River while a local paddler steers you downstream past limestone cliffs and overhanging jungle. A short stop at a local cave temple follows before the drive back to your hotel.
Drinking water, lunch, the canoe trip and hotel transfers are included.
